Die erste Ausgabe des 16. Jhs., erstmals in Venedig im 15. Jh. erschienen. Geschätztes und häufig aufgelegtes Werk.
EINBAND: Lederband d. Zt. über Holzdeckeln mit Rahmenaufbau aus doppelten Streicheisenlinien und reicher Rollenprägung (Mittelfeld mit 3 Flechtbändern mit Innenverzierung, äußere Rolle mit Blütenranken) sowie vord. Deckel mit blindgeprägtem Titel "Ambrosy" und montiertem Titelschild von alter Hand, zudem mit 2 Messingschließen. Folio. 29 : 21 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit zahlreichen eingemalten Initialen in Rot. - KOLLATION: 28 nn. Bll., CCCXXXIII num. Bll. - ZUSTAND: Erste ca. 30 Bll. wasserrandig, sonst sauberes Exemplar, Titel mit kl. hinterlegten Ausschnitt, vorderes flieg. Vorsatz entfernt. Rücken und Schließen unter Verwendung alten Materials fachgerecht erneuert. - PROVENIENZ: Seit 2001 in süddeutschem Privatbesitz.

Rare Basel post-incunabula edition of the sermons of Ambrosius de Spiera Tarvisinus. The first edition of the 16th century. With numerous initials painted in red. Contemp. calf over wooden boards with frame structure with double iron line and rich scroll embossing (middle field with 3 braided bands with interior decoration, outer scroll with flower tendrils) as well as blind embossed title “Ambrosy” and mounted lid plate with title by an old hand on front cover, also with 2 brass clasps. Folio. 29 : 21 cm. - First approx. 30 leavs waterstained, else clean copy, title with small backed cutout, front flying endpaper removed. Spine and clasps professionally renewed using old materials.
