Rudloff 568. With artist' signet and number. One of XI copies. 31,4 x 7,5 x 6,5 cm (12,3 x 2,9 x 2,5 in).
Later cast after 1970. Cast by foundry Barth, Rinteln (with foundry mark).
In this figure Marcks worked up impressions gained duting a trip to Spain in 1949. The same year he also made the lithograph 'Spanisches Tänzerpaar' and the woodcut 'La Farucca'. In 1971 the bronze 'Chitana', which also shows a Spanish dancer, follwoed. [CB].
