Das Blackwellsche Herbarium in der von Chr. J. Trew besorgten Neubearbeitung. Vorhanden Band 3 (von 6). - "This edition is artistically superior to Blackwell's Curious Herbal on which it is only partly based. The first 500 plates by N. F. Eisenberger, were copied from Blackwell's plates but are much more carefully drawn, engraved and colored, and have alterations and additional material" (De Belder).

EINBAND: Pappband. d. Zt. 35,5 : 23,5 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit koloriertem Kupfertitel und 100 kolorierten Kupfertafeln (von 101) von N. F. Eisenberger. - KOLLATION: 48 nn. Bll. - ZUSTAND: Ohne die Tafel 232 (Mauerpfeffer; durch leeres Blatt ersetzt); Tafel 269 a und b. - Tafelteil im Unterrand durchgeh. wasserrandig (zum Ende stärker), Kupfertitel und letztes Textbl. verso mit halbem unleserlichen Stempel am Unterrand. - PROVENIENZ: Beide Titel mit Stempel der Altertumsgesellschaft Insterburg 1880.

Contemp. cardboard. - Without plate 232 (replaced by a blank sheet); plate 269 a and b. - Plates waterstained in the lower edge (stronger towards the end), engr. title and last text leaf verso with half illegible stamp on the lower margin. Both titles with stamp "Altertumsgesellschaft Insterburg 1880".
