Breviarium Romanum
Breviarium Franciscanum. Venedig, Jacobus Rubeus 1474.

- KOLLATION: 377 (st. 602) nn. Bll. (das erste weiß). Gotico-Antiqua. 2 Spalten. 29 Zeilen. Einbd. berieben, ob. Rücken eingerissen u. ausgebessert. Insgesamt dekorativer, guterhaltener Druck auf Pergament. - PROVENIENZ: Erstes Kalenderbl. mit frz. Stempel "Seminaire de .. du Puy .." (tls. unleserlich).
LITERATUR: GW 5125. - Hain 3891. - Goff B 1117. - Bohatta 391. - Nicht im BMC und in der BSB.

One of the two earliest Breviaria ever printed. Illuminated copy on vellum, printed in red and black. Extremely rare, only 4 copies in public libraries worldwide, only 1 of which on vellum (BNF). With 10 initials in gold and colors (2 with acanthus borders at top and bottom), numerous painted lombards and fleuronne initials in red and blue. Capitals stroked in yellow. - 377 leaves only (of 602: lacks 9 leaves in the Proprium de tempore, 132 in the Proprium de sanctis, and all of Commune sanctorum). - Here and there minor staining, last 2 quires with waterstaining at bottom (touching partly 1 or 2 lines text), last 3 leaves browned, binding somewhat rubbed, spine head with tentatively repaired tear. In general well-preserved.(R)
