A selection of Hexandrian plants belonging to the natural orders Amaryllidae and Liliacae. Tafelsammlung. London, R. Havell 1831-34.

Die Aquatintatafeln von Robert Havell, der zeitgleich auch die Tafeln für Audubons Birds of America schuf, zeigen "finely colored plates of perfect technique, very decorative, very 'modern' in feeling, of amaryllis, crinum, pancratium and lilies." (Dunthorne)

EINBAND: Lose Tafeln. Randeinrissen.

LITERATUR: Nissen 306. - Great Flower Books S. 45 und 85. - Stafleu/Cowan 937. - Dunthorne 71.

Collection of engr. title and 38 col. mezzotint plates (partly printed in color) from one of the most beautiful and rare botanical English books of the 19th century. Loose plates. - Sadly very water- and mouldstained, partly trimmed and with partly rebacked marginal tears.
