Erste Ausgabe des seltenen Kometenbuches . - Lubienicki verfaßte sein Werk nach dem Erscheinen des Kometen im Jahr 1664. Er ließ seine umfassende Korrespondenz mit den großen Astronomen seiner Zeit, darunter Helvetius, Olearius, Rautenstein, Kircher und Schott, vor allem in den ersten Teil seines monumentalen Werkes einfließen. Der zweite Teil behandelt die Weltgeschichte unter dem Einfluß des Kometen. - "This encyclopedic work on comets, composed of numerous reports of observations of the bright comet of 1664-1665, a history of all known comets, and a treatise on their correspondence with terrestrial events, is liberally illustrated with celestic maps of comet paths.
