Signed, dated "14" and titled "Akt am Diwan" lower left. Lower right on verso with date "Jan 1914" and inscribed with artist's name. On brownish wove paper. 43 x 33,8 cm (16,9 x 13,3 in), size of sheet
The two nudes were made while Felixmüller attended the academy in Dresden, they clearly show that to him nudes were about more than the mere depiction of female attraction. The artist preffered depicting models he knew or even was friends with, captivating their beauty in charming poses. [DB].
