As a humanist itinerant teacher, he gave private lectures in many Northern German cities, he taught eloquence and poetry in Wittenberg and Leipzig, since "1507 he was in Cologne. In the dispute between Pfefferkorn and Reuchlin, he eventually became one of the strongest supporters of Reuchlin. His contribution to the Epistolae obscurorum virorum is virtually certain .. When fights about the reformation broke out, Buschius was on Luther's side" (Translation of quote from NDB). - His most acknowledged work is the writing Vallum humanitatis from 1518, a passionate argumentation for humanism. - Slightly stained in places of margins, with creasemarks in places of corners, last 2 ll. with small mended corner defect.
