Nice atlas, most maps made by the Augsburg publishing house of Tob. Conrad Lotter and his father in law Matthäus Seutter: 34 maps made by Lotter, 18 by Seutter, 5 maps by J. Walch and 2 by Homann. Among them: world map in two hemispheres, continental map of Europe (Walch), Asia, Africa, North- and South America (Homann Erben) and a celestial map in two hemispheres Planisphaerium coeleste (Seutter; Warner 1a), Germany in 2 complete and 19 partial maps, also Bohemia, Moravia, Silesia, Prussia, Portugal, Spain, France, English Channel, Great Britain, Italy, Corsica, Greece, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria (various), Poland, Balkan and Holy Land. Some with large title cartouche decorated with crest and figures or separate armorial illustrations, few maps with small extra views or city plans (Klagenfurt, Olomouc, Brno, Wroclaw, Ostend). - Condition: world- and celestial map stained, with several padded marginal splits and folding tears, world map trimmed to bordering line; of the other maps ca. 15 slightly stained, ca. 15 maps with mostly small tears in margins or folding, most of which have been padded, 1 map somewhat creased. Binding with traces of use. All in all well-preserved, some maps in lucent contemp. coloring.

Compilation of maps mainly published by T. C. Lotter and M. Seutter, few by Homann and J. Walch. 59 doublepage engr. maps in contemp. colors, amongst others a world map, a celestial chart and maps of the four known continents. Contemp. half calf. - World map and celestial charts stained and with several reinforced marginal tears, world map trimmed at sides. About 15 maps slightly stained, about 15 maps with partly restored marginal tears, 1 map creased. Binding with traces of use. Maps overall well preserved and in partly bright colors.
