His works are of especial importance because of the fine plates, which include maps, plans, beautiful views and costumes" (Blackmer). - The coppers, rich in detail, show views of Aden, Bagdad, Ephesus, Isfahan, Khom, Mokka, Smyrna, Vishnapur et al, also with plants and animals, costumes, cult objects, godheads. - Slightly browned in places, title of I with small old armorial stamp as well as an erased stamp on verso.
