Fauser I, XXXI. - Magnificent series of engravings with numerous views of German cities (among them Aachen, Augsburg, Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Freiburg, Heidelberg, Jena, Ingolstadt, Munich, Naumburg, Rostock, Schwerin, Stralsund, Trier, Tübingen, Ulm, Wismar, Würzburg), also with views of Switzerland, Austria and South Tyrol (among them Appenzell, Biel, Geneva, Neuchatel, Innsbruck, Kufstein, Salzburg and Meran) and views of other European cities (Barcelona, Bologna, Danzig, Florence, Genoa, Gibraltar, Lisbon, Marseilles, Naples, Riga, Reval, Sevilla, Stockholm, Warsaw and many more). - Lacking the view of Dresden (no. 46), instead the view of Gaeta (no. 61) bound in twice. - With a small ink stain to side edges at the beginning, 1 plate with small tear at bottom, inner book block slightly broken. Edges and joints slightly rubbed and partly skilfully restored. - Nice and clean copy of this collection of views.
Beautiful collection of views of many German and European cities and places. Engr. title, engr. preface, engr. index and 200 mainly folding engr. plates. Contemp. calf with gilt decoration on spine. - Lacking the view of Dresden, instead the view of Gaeta is bound in twice. Edges in the beginning with small ink stain, 1 plate with small marginal tear, inner book slightly broken. Edges and joints slightly rubbed and here and there with expert restorations. - Clean and fine copy.
