Mejer) with small side maps of Föhr in 1651, and the island in 1823. The coloured plates show a nice general view of Wyk auf Föhr (folding), the granite baptismal font in Nieblum and two depictions of locals and the Wyk women's costume, the two additional plates (on a loose sheet of smoother paper) with trial proofs of the costumes in an uncoloured state. - Rear endpaper with autogr. dedication, signed by the author to Mary Wedell "zum freundlichen Andenken froher Tagee auf Föhr" ['remembering the merry days spent on Föhr', dated May 1824. - Plates slightly foxed in places, maps with few rebacked minimal tears or holes in the folding. Spine ends chipped. - Fine copy of the rare writing with a local importance.
