XXII, 232. - With splendid coppers from various works by J. de la Joue, among them numerous sheets engraved by Huguier for the various Livre de Cartouches (24 coppers, 4 partly coloured) as well as by Cochin, among them 9 sheets on the allegoric illustrations of science and arts (among them astronomy, geography, navy, optics, painting, sculpture, botany, eloquence and motive force). - All coppers professionally mounted. - Somewhat stained in places, partly cropped close and with minor marginal defects, 1 copper with mended small corner. Binding scraped and scuffed, spine defective.
