Boht edition not in BM STC, Adams and Brun. - Very rare and lavishly printed edition by André Bocard and Jean Petit: Scholio print in red and black with metalcut initials and a very nice metalcut illustration. - Front endpaper and first 3 ll. with damage caused by fire (title with the printer's device just partly preserved), head margin with browning towards the end, rear endpapers with old entries. Binding somewhat stained and bumped, else well-preserved copy.
2 works in 1 volume, not in BM STC, Adams and Brun. Scarce editions by A. Bocard & J. Petit, very fine printings in red and black, with 2 full-page metalcuts (Justinian in Council, rep.), large metalcut printer's device and numerous metalcut initials. Contemp. pigskin, richly blind- and rollstamped. - Front endpapers and first 2 leaves of vol. I with damage by fire (title only a fragment), at end upper margin with brownstain, rear endpapers with old inscriptions. Binding somewhat stained and bumped. Else good copy.
