Signed and dated lower right. 51,2 : 71 cm (20,1 : 27,9 in). Unlike most other Hamburg painters, Höckner, in his paintings, manages to give full respect to the landscape of the Hamburg area, which is marked by delicate tones of green. The present river landscape impresses by the employment of a bright complexion, which is rather unusual for Höckner, as well as his signature acuteness and sophistication in the execution. [MD]

Good overall impression. Occasional tiny colour flakes. Small pressure mark above the the tree to the right. Minimal craquelure in some spots.
