Holzmann/Boh. I, 11321. - Sandler S. 9, No's.rn. 85, 87-89. - First edition of this nice work on the history of Nuremberg. With a large map of the city, showing its most important buildings, one map of the Nuremberg area by Chr. Scheurer and maps of the districts of Lichtenau, Nuremberg and Hersbruck. The maps with decorative cartouche and partly with figurative illustrations in the margins. All 4 maps were later used in the atlases of Seutters and Homanns. - Without the frequently missing four-page dedication, that must not have been bound in all volumes. - Text somewhat browned, 2 plates with small marginal tear, 1 map browned in the gutter, title detached and with an old signature. Binding scraped and bumped.
