Kaspers p. 40f. - Cf. Costa 119. - New copy of the official Latin edition of the 3 Books of Law for Poland, executed by Nikolaus Jaskier (Jaskerus). "Die erste gedruckte lateinische Ausgabe des Sachsenspiegels für Polen erschien dann 1506 in Krakau, in einer amtlichen Sammlung polnischer Gesetze, bearbeitet von Jan Laski. Eine selbständige Ausgabe ebenfalls amtlichen Charakters wird hier 1535 von Nikolaus Jaskier herausgegeben" (Kaspers). The present edition was commissioned by King Sigismund III. and republished and commented by Adam Burski (Burscius), professor at the Universität of Samosc. Contains the Sachsenspiegel and, as usual, the Magdeburgische Weichbild, i.e. the municipal law of Magdeburg, and the Promptuarium. - Some waterstaining, few marginalia and annotations by early hand. Binding somewhat wavy, spine end chipped, lower spine band detached.
