• The particularly colorful and apparently light-flooded watercolor was created, according to Dr. Robert Purrmann, in Langenargen on Lake Constance
• Alongside Emil Nolde, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Erich Heckel, Hans Purrmann is regarded as one of the best German watercolor artists of the 20th century
• In his artistic oeuvre, the diverse watercolor technique plays an important role

The work is registered at the Hans Purrmann Archive, Munich under the number 2001.
