• Rare view of the North Sea coast, where Wopfner spent a lot of time painting in 1906.
• One of the few paintings that document the impressions of his travels away from the Chiemsee.
• Exceptionally large-size work in which the vastness of the coastal landscape becomes perceptible.
• Influenced by Eugène Boudin's early impressionist Normandy seascapes
