• Particularly colorful bathing scene from the best "Brücke" times.
• At this time the "Brücke" artists often devoted themselves to the artistic study of the female nude at the Moritzburg Lakes.
• Created at the same time as the paintings "Drei Badende in Moritzburg" (1910, Gordon 146), "Badende in Moritzburg" (1909/26, Gordon 93) und "Vier Badende" (1909, Gordon 95, Von-der-Heydt-Museum, Wuppertal), which are reminiscent of the drawing offered here in terms of composition, position of the figures or image structure
.

This work is documented at the Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Archive, Wichtrach/Bern.

PROVENANCE: From the artist's estate.
