Ceramics. White sherd with engobe painting in blue and black and with scratch decor on glazed white enamel ground.
Ramié 435. With hand-written number and inscriptions "Edition Picasso" and "R 128" and with embossing stamps "Madoura Plein Feu" and "Edition Picasso". From an edition f 500 copies. 15.5 x 23 x 12 cm (6.1 x 9 x 4.7 in). [CH].

• Picasso began to use ceramics for his characteristic ‘abstract figuration’ as late as in 1946
