Released on occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Munich Reinsurance Company. Printed by Rupert Jasen Smith, New York and published by Edition Schellmann, Munich/New York, in cooperation with the Maximilian Verlag Sabine Knust, Munich. As artist's trial proof this sheet here differs from the edition in terms of the motif's size, forest and mountains are larger here. This adds a unique character to the work, as it illustrates the development process of the artistic idea. [CE].
