Oil on canvas.
Lipps-Kant 170. Center at top monogrammed and dated "31 / 23. April" (scratched into wet paint). Verso of the stretcher additionally signed and dated. 81 x 65.2 cm (31.8 x 25.6 in).
Kleinschmidt made this painting in Cassis, Southern France, in April 1931. [CH].

PROVENANCE: Collection Wilhelm Bilger, Ulm (as of 1931, with cllector's stamp on the stretcher).
