In the catalog raisonné of Fritz Klimsch's sculptures, Hermann Braun described the work "Jugend" as follows: "The work is the last part of the wonderful and famous range of bronzes of standing female nudes which began with 'Frühling' (1925-26) and was continued with 'Eva' (1932-33) and 'In Wind und Sonne' (1936). This mature work from 1941 definitely crowns this series" (quote after: Hermann Braun, Fritz Klimsch. Eine Dokumentation, Cologne 1991, p. 399)
