Inscribed "STUCK" lower right. On gray laid paper. 59.4 x 32.2 cm (23.3 x 12.6 in), size of sheet.
Study for the painting "Diana und Aktaion" (cf. catalog raisonneé Voss 587/187) from 1926, in which the group of Aktaion with his dogs references a similar image (inverted) by Titian (1559, today in possession of the National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh). [CB].

Accompanied by a confrmation issued by Dr. Heinrich Voss from 18 October, 1978 (in copy).
