Kristine Roepstorff, Born in Copenhagen in 1972, studied at theRoyal Danish Academy of Arts from 1994 to 2001, as well as at Rutgers University, Mason School of Fine Art in the U.S.A. in 1999/2000. The artist is predominantly occupied with collages and sculptures. She uses various materials for her works, for example cloths, paper, copies, metal foil, steel sheet and wood. Roepstorff is represented at Galerie Christina Wilson in Copenhagen and has shown her works in various exhibitions in the U.S.A. and in Europe. She had solo shows at, among others, the Kunstmuseum Basel, the Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Basel, the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo, at the Drawing Center in New York, as well as at Galerie Taxispalais in Innsbruck.
