With his works Günther Förg probes the boundaries between the genres painting, photography, graphic art and sculpting, he is on a constant quest for new positions of form, color and expression – just as it is the case with this work, which, for its lucent abstract play of colors, hints at figurative notions. InDecember 2013 Günter Förg died in Freiburg im Breisgau. His works are in possession of numerous renowned collections, among them the Städelsche Kunstinstitut Frankfurt a.M. and the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich.
