His works make Janis Avotins one of today's most interesting figurative artists. International exhibitions, such as at the Stadtgalerie Schwaz in 2008, the Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst in Aachen and at the Contemporary Art Center Vilnius in 2010 and recently in 2013 at Bundeskunsthalle Bonn are proof of the increasing appeal of the young Latvian artist.
