Ein Paar Duellpistolen mit Percussionsschloss. 1850/60.
Iron, engraved, with damascene ornamentation. Wood carved.
38,8 cm (15,2 in). AND 39,2 cm (15,4 in).
With neatly engraved floral decor. Signed Husqvarna (engraved) in upper part as well as numbered "1" and "2" (ornamented in gold). With ownership monogram "O II" under a crown.
According to the documentationof the Bavarian National Museum, the Husqvarna factory museum in Sweden confirmed that these are the duelling pistols of King Oskar of Sweden. They were made by the gunsmith Fleetwood by commission of the Husqvarna armorer (founded in 1689).
