With estate stamp (not in Lugt) as well as stamped and barely legible number. On smooth creme paper. 47 x 63,8 cm (18,5 x 25,1 in), size of sheet.
This sheet is a draft for Albert Müller's mural "Verlorenes Paradies" for the criminal court in Basel (see Beat Stutzer, 'Albert Müller (1897–1926) und die Basler Künstlergruppe Rot-Blau'. With critical catalog of paintings, glass and sculptures (oeuvre catalog Swiss artist 9, published by 'Schweizerisches Institut für Kunstwissenschaft', Zurich), Basel/Munich, 1981, pp. 58-61). A draft in oil on canvas is also in existence (cf. Stutzer G.62). [KP].
