After he had studied at the Art Academy in Stuttgart under Robert Poetzelberger, Christian Adam Landenberger and as master student of Adolf Hölzel, Heinrich Eberhard regularly spent time in Brenz on the river Brenz with its 17\up5 th century castle. In 1925 Eberhard was among the founding fathers of the first museum of local history in Württemberg in Brenz castle, which he captured in this contemplative work in a harmonious interplay of nature and architecture.
