The lithograph is part of a volume published on occasion of Henry Daniel Kahnweiler's 80th birthday, it comprises texts and lithographs by befriended artists, among others, lithographs after drawings by Pablo Picasso. The complete edition comprised 1000 copies. The first 200 copies that made for the first edition, were increased by 9 separately printed lithographs, among which this sheet by Picasso also counts.
