Our work is part of the series "Russell I-V", all executed in same size and technique. They just differ in slight nuances in head's posture and facial expression, thus they seem like an incredibly slow slow motion sequence. The artist deliberately used oil in order to underline the slowness in the process of creation. Russell, whose head is completely isolated from his environment with his eyes closed and ears covered, is observed closely by exactly the saem. [DB].
