Hans Siebert von Heister was born in Düsseldorf in 1888. After he had studied art history and law under Lovis Corinth and Konrad von Kardorff as of 1911, he joined the "Novembergruppe" and the artist's association "Junges Rheinland" in 1919. Two years later he started a carreer as a journalist which he abandoned in 1940. After the end of World War II Hans Siebert von Heister was active as a freelance painter and writer. Our work in intesive colors belongs among the dynamic examples of the artist's œuvre. [KP].
