PROVENANCE: Private collection Southern Germany, acquired directly from the artist.

From 1964 to '69 Vincenzo Baviera studied architecture at the ETH Zurich, followed by studies of social-psychology and ethnology. In 1984/85 he became professor for three-dimensional design and sculpting at the 'Hochschule für Gestaltung' in Offenbach am Main. From 1991 to '95 he taught plastic design at the ETH Zurich. Since 1997 the artist has been living and teaching on Guernsey. Up until today Vincenzo Baviera has had numerous solo shows, among others, in the Galerie Carla Fuehr, München, Galerie Lüpke, Frankfurt am Main, and Galerie Gimpel-Hanover & André Emmerich, Zurich. Works by teh artist can be found in public spaces in, for instance Zurich, Winterthur, Wiesbaden and Mannheim. [DB].
