EXHIBITION: Deutscher Künstlerbund, 18th exhibition, Städtische Kunstsammlungen and Rheinisches Landesmuseum, 18 September - 1 November 1970, Bonn (with a label on verso).

Between 1970 and 1971 a total of 11 works in a large format were made under the title "Cut Up", today one of them is in possession as a permanent loan of the Museum of Modern Art, Freiburg im Breisgau, another in the Städtische Kunstmuseum Spendhaus, Reutlingen. The dynamic and abstract color motions on the one hand and the figurative elements on the other hand make for both the intensity in pictures from this series and the disturbing beauty of paintings by Walter Stöhrer in general.
