Buhlmann 226. With monogram on rear hind leg. With foundry mark of H. Noack, Berlin, on both bases. 13,5 x 7 x 7,5 cm (5,3 x 2,7 x 2,9 in).

This plastic's authenticity has kindly been confirmed by the foundry H. Noack, Berlin.

The “Berlin Bear” is the most popular sculpture Renée Sintenis produced. Every year some exemplars are cast for the Berlin Film Festival. One of those bears is gilded and awarded as the first prize. The recipients of the other prizes are presented with a silver version. [NB].
