"I am very happy that we are able to offer even more clients in Europe an extensive and personal local service", says company owner Robert Ketterer.

Up until a few years ago Ketterer Kunst, the auction house that made seminal efforts not only regarding German Expressionism, was represented in Switzerland. Now the time has come to reestablish this basis and to widen the scope to France and the Benelux countries. Next to Modern Art, the focus of the new representation will be on 19th Century and Contemporary Art.

Robert Ketterer, to whom regional client proximity is very important, explains: "The new representation will serve as a competent local contact for consignors and buyers. We were able to win Barbara Guarnieri as an experienced and multilingual expert for this task. Not only does she know the market and our company very well, she also has an idea of our clients' needs and wishes".

Barbara Guarnieri was the head of the fine arts department for some years at the Hamburg office of Ketterer Kunst in the early 2000s. After some years in the German and Swiss art business, she now returns as a very adept representative. For the estimation of artworks from the 19th to the 21st century she will also benefit from the experience gained at a large art insurance company. Mrs. Guarnieri will also gladly assist you in all questions regarding buying and collecting art.

Since it was founded in 1954, Ketterer Kunst has become established as one of Germany's biggest auction houses dealing in Fine Art and Rare Books, with its headquarters in Munich and a branch in Hamburg. Representative offices in Berlin, Heidelberg, Dusseldorf, as well as in Italy and the USA have substantially contributed to the company's success. In addition, exhibitions, special thematic and charity auctions, as well as monthly online auctions at www.ketterer-internet-auction.com are regular events at Ketterer Kunst. Robert Ketterer is owner and CEO of Ketterer Kunst. Press inquiries:
