"One of the most beautiful microscopical works issued during the XVIII. century" (Sotheran). Die schönen und sorgfältig kolorierten Kupfertafeln gestochen von A. W. Winterschmidt zeigen verschiedene Insekten, Pflanzen sowie mikroskopische Geräte und technische Details.

Randeinriß, flieg. Vorsatz mit 3 alten Besitzeinträgen, vord. Innengelenk eingerissen. Einband beschabt und bestoßen sowie etw. fleckig, innen gutes und kaum fleckiges Exemplar.

With engr. frontispiece, engr. portrait and 100 colored copperplates. Contemp. card board. - Stained and browned in places, 1 textleaf with backed tear, flying endpaper with 3 owner's inscriptions, front inner joint broken. Binding scraped and bumped, inside fine copy.
