- "A formal, systematic textbook that deals with the principles of chemistry, both theoretical and practical, and then attempts to demonstrate their applications to natural philosophy, medicine, metallurgy, and alchemy" (DSB I, 451). - Vereinz. etw. fleckig, Titel leicht gebräunt, Falttaf. mit minim. Randläsuren, Vorsatz und Titel mit altem Namenszug. Einbd. berieben.

Contemp, calf with gilt spine, rebacked retaining original spine. - Here and there stained, title browned, folding plate with minim. marginal defects, title and front inner pastedown with owner's entry.
