Ausgabe von 1860). - Erste Ausgabe des ungewöhnlichen Himmelsatlanten. - Die auf blauem Karton gedruckten Sternbildtafeln sind in Transparentmanier gefertigt: Die perforierten Umrisse der Sternbilder und die ausgestanzten Sterne wurden mit gelb- bzw. bei der gefalt. Himmelskarte buntgefärbtem Transparentpapier hinterlegt, so daß sie, gegen das Licht gehalten, leuchten. - Ohne das Textheft. Mappe tlw. erneuert. Die Tafeln wohl erhalten.
Unusual astronomic map. The perforated contours of the constellations and the blanked out stars are backed with yellow and coloured transparent paper. When held against light, the stars seem to glow. With 1 folded lithogr. astron. map and 30 constellation plates. Loose plates in orig. half cloth portfolio with gilt-stamped cover title. - Copy without text. Portfolio partly renewed.
