In 1979, the artists Milan Kunc, Peter Angermann and Jan Knap founded Künstlergruppe Normal. It only existed until 1980. During this time the artists presented their works in joint exhibitions, among others at the Paris Biennale. The approach of the group members was based on the assumption that pictures not just express one single idea, but that each picture follows its own idea. After the group's breakup, the artists Milan Kunc, Peter Angermann and Jan Knap established themselves as successful solo artists on the art market.
